If you're a Google Chrome surfer (rather than a "Silver Surfer" *drumroll*), and you've been trying to print a webpage, only to be greeted by an annoying grey page saying that the print preview doesn't work when the Chrome PDF Viewer is not enabled.
Then you follow the link to your plugin settings at chrome://plugins* only to discover that the Chrome PDF Viewer is in fact already up an running...
Adobe Acrobat plugin disabled to make the built-in Chrome PDF Viewer work. |
How to fix
What is usually causing this problem is a conflicting plugin. If you already have Adobe Acrobat or other PDF viewers installed on your system, these usually come with browser plugins as well. So what you need to do is to again check you Chrome plugin settings at chrome://plugins* and make sure you only have one PDF viewing plugin enabled in your browser, leaving the other ones de-activated. After doing this, try printing again to see if it now works. If not, try restarting your browser to make sure the changes have come to affect.Good luck, and happy printing!
